My Brother Kept Insulting My Husband for Being ‘Just an Electrician’ – But Karma Had the Last Laugh
My brother and I are nothing alike—except for maybe our perseverance. We come from a family of white-collar professionals, and while we both achieved successful careers, our paths couldn’t be more different. Even though I married an electrician who owns a highly successful business, my brother can’t seem to see past the title of ‘electrician.’
After years of enduring his belittling remarks, I had enough. But before I could teach him a lesson, karma stepped in.
I grew up in a privileged home, raised by parents who worked tirelessly to provide for us while instilling a strong work ethic. My mother is a brain surgeon, and my father runs his own business. My older brother, Jack, became a lawyer, but he’s more interested in flaunting his wealth than putting in the hard work to build his own practice. Instead, he revels in his extravagant lifestyle—fancy cars, designer clothes, and endless bragging. He’s even engaged to his third fiancée, which he treats as another status symbol.
